A.
Introduction
The
National Necessity Products Business Association was created to provide a l=
ow cost
tool that like-minded members could use to help each other grow
financially. In African-American communities across the United States membe=
rs
will have a simple method that can be used to work together; to foster
individual and community economic growth.
It is
often said that African-American cannot work together. NNPBA does not belie=
ve
this to be true. Just consider all=
of
the roadblocks that our communities have confronted. We are survivors; our
combined income is equivalent to the twelfth largest economy in the world. =
This
fact speaks volumes about our ability to survive and work together. It is t=
rue
that there are people that allow jealousy, self-doubt, greed, bitterness and
infighting to prevent them from possessing the belief that they can work wi=
th
others. Our task should be to wish them well and to move forward to greater
economic growth.
NNPBA =
is a web-based
business association. It is web-based to help keep the cost of operations l=
ow,
while giving the association the ability to operate nationally. This
association is designed to limit the number of meetings and dues payments while providing a high degree of economic impact. We
depend on your understanding that each member is a leader and that NNPBA
survives on your ability to work both individually and in groups to complete
projects. We will continue to evo=
lve in
our use of various internet and business resources to make your task easier=
.
Project Activity Poi=
nts and Project Certif=
icates
are used as a type of currency to facilitate, track and record each members activities and progress. =
B.
Project Activity Points
Project
Activity Points are earned on the
completion of various projects that are member defined. Below you will find=
a
chart that gives some examples of possible projects and points that can be
earned. These projects are essential to the economic growth of the member,
local chapters and our communities. Project Committees will verify the
submission and completion of all =
projects
and activity points.
The points are awards o=
f real
merit and a further demonstration of our ability to work together which wil=
l be
cherished in years to come. We will
chronicle the results of member helping members achieve individual and
community goals. We recognize the meritorious services rendered and sacrifi=
ces
of time and effort made by each member on behalf of the Association and the
communities.
To receive assistance i=
n your
project of your choosing, a certain number of points must be earned. There =
is
no maximum number of points that you are allowed each year. You are free to=
select
the project that you would be interested in completing.
C.
Administration of Project Activity Certificates and Project Activation
Each Community Chapter =
should
appoint a Project Committee to gather information regarding the activities =
for
its members. Each =
member will receive a sheet of Project =
Activity
Certificates from which copies can be made. The certificates are exchanged
between members as tasks are completed on each committee approved project.<=
/span> The certificates are used to help the members k=
eep
track of their projects. When a member achieves a project level that
corresponds with a required number of activity points, activation of a new
project begins. The certificates should be forwarded to the local and or
national committee for confirmation by the Project Committee. The
committee should verify that current rules are being followed, current forms
are used, and all required members names are obtained before submitting the=
project
for approval.
D.
Project Activation Levels
Project
Activation Levels demonstrates a general level of activity. It is not neces=
sary
for members seeking to have their project activated to match exactly activi=
ty
points with the services provided to your project by your fellow members. W=
hat
is required is that you reach a committee approved level of activity on oth=
er
projects prior to the activation of your project. For small projects the
exchange of Activity Points by hours worked can correspond exactly with the
project.
E. Project Assignment Committee
The local and national =
chapter reviews
each project to determine the right group of members that can successfully
complete the short or long term project. The member must reach the correct
Project Activity Level before works starts on his or her project. The member
should inform the committee as to which project that they are interested in
starting prior to the date that they wish to start to insure that the member
has reached the correct activity level. All projects will be posted on the<=
/span> NNPWORKS.COM/forum website in the FORUM/NNP
Business Association page. The forum is password protected.
This system will work o=
nly if
each member strives to give to each project equal and especially greater ef=
fort
than they received. You can ever go wrong by doing more.
F. Project Activity Points Records
To facilitate the track=
ing, recording
and verification of Project Activity Points, it will be necessary for each Community Chapte=
r to
compile a record of the activities of each member. When a project has been
completed the project owner gives each project member a signed =
copy
of the Project Activity Certificate with the correct amount of Project Acti=
vity
Points.
The maintenance of each=
member’s
Project Activity Points Records should
be a regularly assigned duty of the Community Chapter Project Committee. A =
copy
of the records should be kept by the secretary or an officer in the chapter=
’s archives.
Members should be encouraged to maintain a record of their project activiti=
es.
They should verify their records each year with the official records of the=
projects
chairperson and where differences exist, the records should be corrected. M=
embers
should also keep records of the Project Certificates
that have been issued and received.=
G. What Kind=
of
Activities Earn Activity Points?
Points=
are
allocated at different rates for different types of activities. The rate
variance is based on the time required and the general level of difficulty.=
This
is a brief list of possible projects that the members may be interested in
pursuing to help fulfill their individual needs or in their pursuit of econ=
omic
growth for the African-American community.
Member=
s list
their project and skills in the NNPBA forum. Next, members select which
projects that they are interested to completing. As member list their
specialties and professions the list of projects will increase. Large proje=
cts
are coordinated with the community chapter to insure that the proper resour=
ces
are allocated.

Project Financing
NNPBA

th
the larger Prosper.com community to finance our projects. You are free to j=
oin
our group in Prosper.com but you are not required to help finance any proje=
cts.
Financing may also come directly from your members.
The
Prosper.com site combines many small individual loans of amounts as low as
$150.00 to create loans of up to $25,000
for borrowers on their site. Inte=
rest
can also be earned by the lenders. There are also methods to obtain financi=
ng
for larger projects.

K.
Publicity
The members that perform
project activities have made significant contribution of time and effort to
each Community Chapter. Every effort should be made to recognize them for t=
heir
contributions. The following is a list of ways to recognize recipients:
1. Local African-American Newspapers - local sub=
urban
publications.
2. Chapter Newsletter -=
an
article should be prepared and published recognizing the completion of major
projects. Any awards or special recognition should be presented during a
meeting. Pictures should be taken of each completed or ongoing project as
appropriate.
3. Annual Chapter Direc=
tory -
if the chapter produces an annual membership directory, a running history of
recipients, name and awards received, is another way to continue recognitio=
n of
members of your chapter.
4. Company Publications=
- many
companies publish internal newsletters. Contact should be made with the
member’s company to determine if an article for the company newsletter woul=
d be
appropriate.
5. Letter to the boss –=
a
possible “thank you” letter might be sent to the member’s company with their
permission. The letter should include a history of the member’s activities.=
We at =
NNPBA
challenge each member to think big. Martin Luther King once said that we are
part of a great country ;
and it is our duty to do great things. Read, discuss and explorer new ideas=
and
thoughts with members and everyone that you encounter. Take in all kinds of
information, both big and small pieces of information. You never know what
little piece of information combined with information that you learned twen=
ty
years ago will help you to create a multimillion dollar business. To create=
new
and different things, you must consume new and different information.
L. General Assoc=
iation
Rules
The rules and qualifying
activities have been designed to reward active members and as a result, hel=
p to
empower the African-American community.
1. These rules=
will be
revised as our membership grows and situations change. =
2. NNPBA is a web-based
business association. There are no requirements to make high dues payments,
attend meetings or purchase products. The only requirement is that the memb=
ers
must work together in teams to complete projects. There is power in working=
together. The Association will be all volunteer (=
earn
points), or use a small staff to keep the payment of dues as low as possibl=
e.
3. Project Act=
ivity
Points will be earned and traded li=
ke
currency to start and complete projects. On any Project Activity Points change adopted by the national executive commit=
tee,
increases are retroactive, reductions are not retroactive.
4. No Project Act=
ivity
Points may be awarded for any activ=
ities
for which the members received remuneration.
5. Points may be earned=
for
more than one project activity.
6. A member serving as =
an
officer or volunteers on any position that serves the community chapter will
earn Project Activity Points for se=
rvices
rendered.
7. When a
member serves in any position for a period of less than one year, but more =
than
six months, they are entitled to earn additional Project Activity Points for the position. Fewer points will be credited=
for
less than six months of service.
8. Each member must bel=
ong to a
local community chapter. Attending=
meetings
are not required, but you should attend when possible.
9. After the NNPBA init=
ial
membership drive, there will be a $10.00 yearly dues payment requirement. T=
his
is a low cost to join and participate in Project Activities. All members are required to participate in
completing projects during the year because these activities are the primary
reason for the very existence of this association.
10. Members are free to
transfer their Project Activity Points
to nonmembers, but the nonmember must become an active member who has been
active in at least one project before the transfer. The member must consider
transferring their points to an active member first.
11. Points are accumula=
tive and
transferable if a member transfers to a new community chapter. When a member
transfers to another community chapter, a copy of his/her records should be
forwarded to the new community chapter. Full credit should be allowed for a=
ll
points earned in his/her previous chapter towards new projects. If proper
records are not forthcoming from the original chapter, it will be the
responsibility of the transferring member to see that properly approved rec=
ords
are forwarded to the new chapter.
12. Each member must re=
cruit a
minimum of three new members each year. Members that are inactive for over =
two
years will be removed from the membership roster.
13. There is no guarant=
ee that
a members will be located that can help perform your particular project. Th=
ere
is no way to redeem unused Project Activity Points for money.
14. Members are grouped=
by the
city where they live. As the number of members increase in each city, the
members are reassigned to the community closes to where they live.
15. Members elect who w=
ill lead
the Community Chapter and the Committees. Use the nnpworks.com website to k=
eep
the number of meetings and expenditures to a minimum.
NNP an=
d NNPBA
will not be held responsible for any activities performed on projects betwe=
en
members.
